What are the characteristics of graphite rotors compared to other rotors?

The characteristics of the graphite rotor are as follows:

There is a special application in graphite products, that is, graphite rotors. What is a graphite rotor? The aluminum alloy liquid purification process is the main means to improve the comprehensive performance of aluminum alloy. In the purification process, the world's advanced treatment method is to mix the purification gas and solvent, and use the graphite rotor rotary injection in the aluminum melt for purification treatment.

The graphite rotor rotary nozzle is made of high-purity graphite. In addition to dispersing bubbles, the nozzle structure also uses the centrifugal force generated by stirring the aluminum alloy melt to make the melt enter the nozzle and mix evenly with the horizontally sprayed gas to form a gas-liquid flow jet, increase the contact area and contact time between the bubble and the aluminum alloy liquid, and improve the degassing and purification effect.

The speed of the graphite rotor can be steplessly adjusted by the speed regulation of the inverter, and the high-purity oxidation resistant graphite rotor has the characteristics of high strength, high temperature resistance and aluminum flow corrosion resistance. In the purification and degassing process, the surface of the aluminum alloy liquid in the box is covered with nitrogen, so that the graphite rotor part is exposed to the aluminum alloy liquid in the inert gas, which prevents the high temperature oxidation of the rotor and prolongs the service life of the graphite rotor.

The impeller shape is streamlined, which reduces the resistance during rotation, and the friction and erosion force between the impeller and the aluminum alloy liquid are relatively small. So that the degassing rate reaches more than 50%, shortens the smelting time and reduces the production cost. The surface is treated with special oxidation resistance, and the service life is about 5 times that of ordinary products. Widely used in aluminum alloy casting industry.

Graphite rotors are commonly used in holding furnaces and in-line degassing refining, and are scrapped after reaching the service life. In order to reduce production costs, maintenance personnel in the casting area made suggestions for retrofitting and reusing used graphite rotors. Based on the graphite rotor for refining in the holding furnace, the unworn part of its tail is processed into a degassed graphite rotor for online degassing equipment. In the process of transformation, the leaders of the melting and casting area attach great importance to it, and the maintenance personnel of the mold casting equipment actively cooperate. In all aspects of drawing, outsourcing processing, online inspection and other links, everyone worked together and worked closely from top to bottom to ensure the smooth progress of the project and achieve practical results.

After the transformation, through the production test, the online degassing service time of the graphite rotor reaches more than 4 months, which can reduce the purchase volume by two-thirds per year and effectively reduce the production cost per ton of aluminum.
